Clearfield youth sports and leagues have four major registration dates: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. For more information or to register, please visit the registration link below.
Youth Leagues
START SMART
Registration:
January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1 (classes offered monthly, except Dec.)
Classes are offered monthly and rotate for a variety of sports and skills. Classes are four weeks and will prepare children for organized sports. Children will learn basic motor skills in a fun, non-competitive environment.
Boys & Girls: 3-4 years

YOUTH SOCCER
Spring Registration: January 1
Fall Registration: July 1
Teams sizes will be based on age and developmental level. Each participant will receive a reversible soccer jersey. You will need to provide shin guards and shoes or cleats. ONE friend request is applied for all ages.
Boys & Girls: 5 years-4th Grade

T-BALL
Registration: January 1
Learn the basics of baseball in a supportive learning environment. Participants will gain experience in base running, hitting, throwing, and catching. Play consists of 20 minutes practice and 20 minutes of game-play. Participants recieve hat and shirt with registration.
Boys & Girls: Pre-K-Kindergarten

BASEBALL
Spring Registration: April 1
Grab your cleats and dust off your pants it’s time to play America’s game. We have a league for grades 1-4. ONE friend request is applied for all ages.
Machine Pitch: Coed Grades 1-2
Pitching Development: Coed Grades 3-4

BASKETBALL
Registration K-2 Grade: July 1
Registration 3-10 Grade: October 1
Learn the fundamentals and get out and play in our Junior Jazz Leagues.
Each player will receive a game jersey and a Utah Jazz game ticket. ONE friend request is applied for all ages.
Boys & Girls: K-10th Grade

PICKLEBALL
Registration:
January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1
Get your kid hooked on one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Beginner and intermediate classes are offered. Lessons consist of eight sessions. Summer lessons are 8 lessons over 2 weeks. Winter lessons 2 days/week for 4 weeks.
Boys & Girls: 8-15 years
Ute Football League
Clearfield City kids now play with the Ute League which is the largest independant league in the country. Residents still qualify for the Clearfield Recreation Grant program to help our kids have the opportunity to play. For more information about the grant call 801.525.2700.
Recreation options vary throughout the year. Registration ages that fall within grade categories are determined by what grade your child will be as of August 31.

Lessons and Camps

PICKLEBALL LESSONS

Do you want to get a jump start in learning the fastest growing sport in the country? Participants will learn rules, serving, receiving, volleys, dinking, and other basic skills. Beginner and intermediate classes are offered. Lessons consist of eight sessions. Summer lessons are 8 lessons over 2 weeks. Winter lessons 2 days/week for 4 weeks.
Boys & Girls: 8-15 years

MULTI-SPORT CAMPS
Registration: April 1
This camp is designed to let participants explore different sports while also meeting new friends and competing. Learn a different sport each day of the week and get out and have some fun!
Boys & Girls: 7-15 years

TENNIS LESSONS
Registration: April 1
Enjoy six, one-hour USTA lessons while learning the sport of tennis. Lessons are for youth 5 years and older, and we also offer lessons for adults. Lessons are at Clearfield High School tennis courts.
Boys & Girls: Grades 3-9

BASKETBALL CAMP
Registration: April 1, October 1
Camp includes small groups for individual work on fundamentals, scrimmages, souvenir pictures, contests, prizes, t-shirts, and much more. Camp is held at the Clearfield Aquatic Center.
Boys & Girls: 8-15 years

BASEBALL CAMPS
Registration: January 1
This camp consists of two Saturday sessions before baseball season starts.
The clinics offered are:
T-Ball/Machine Pitch: Field and/or Batting
Baseball: Pitching and/or Fielding and/or Overhead Pitch.
You can register for individual clinics during registration.
T-Ball/Machine Pitch: Prek-2nd Grade
Baseball: Grades 3-4

VOLLEYBALL CAMP
Registration: April 1
This week-long summer camp will be teaching hitting and setting in small groups. Camp includes fundamentals, scrimmages, sportsmanship, contests, prizes, t-shirts, and much more!
Boys & Girls: 8-15 years
Financial Assistance
Clearfield City offers financial assistance for fitness memberships, and arts, recreation, and aquatics programs for Clearfield residents. If awarded funds, the applicant is eligible for up to 50% off membership fees and 75% program registration fees.
We encourage all children to participate in recreational activities and do not want them to be limited by financial barriers.
