Swim Lessons At Clearfield

Clearfield Aquatic and Fitness Center Swim Lessons are taught by certified instructors.

Participants of Clearfield Aquatic and Fitness Center’s swim lessons will learn basic water safety, hydrodynamic principles, and several strokes, including Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breaststroke, Elementary Backstroke, Butterfly, and more. Advanced levels also learn competitive swimming starts and turns. Swim lessons are offered for all ages, including Parent & Child lessons for children 8 months to 3 years, children 3-14 years, and adult lessons for those 14 and up. For a complete list of skills taught, see SWIM LESSONS SKILLS below.

NEW: The registration process is changing slightly. Rather than trying to determine which skill level, or “Wave,” your child is in, lessons will be available to register for in the mornings, evenings, or on Saturdays. Select which time works best for you and sign all the kids up at that time. On the first day, our certified instructors will determine their skill level based on their current knowledge and place them in the appropriate group. See DAY 1 EXAMINATION SKILLS below for a basic rundown of the knowledge check.

Aquatics Programs

Clearfield City Aquatics Team
Clearfield City Aquatics Team – CCAT

Clearfield City Aquatic Team is a year-round USA-sanctioned swim team for youth ages 8-18. The Tiger Shark’s mission is to provide athletes with opportunities to develop and refine competitive swimming skills, learn the habits that will lead to a healthy lifestyle, and build a better sense of community through swimming. Coaches and parents supply the support and environment necessary for the organization to foster personal growth and to allow our athletes to prosper.

CCAT coaches will hold tryouts for the team each first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm.  No registration is required.
