Business Licensing
To apply for a Clearfield City Business License, the correct application(s) will need to be filled out. If you are unsure what application(s) are required to be filled out or how much the licensing fee is, please call 801-525-2701.
Building & Excavation Permits
The city regulates construction and provides safeguards to ensure public safety through its permitting process. As part of the permit process, plans are reviewed to ensure compliance with adopted codes. Permits are issued for new construction as well as for additions to and remodeling of existing buildings and structures. Most repairs or alterations require a permit.
To process a permit, you need two complete sets of plans and specifications for residential plan submittal and three complete sets for commercial plan submittals. All plans must meet the individual design loads for State and Local codes. The application has a checklist which outlines the items necessary for submittal. If there is no checklist as part of the application, there are no additional plans or documents required.

Chickens are allowed to be kept within the City provided the resident meets the described Criteria. Please fill out the attached application with the accompanying site plan sheet and return to the Customer Service Center located at City Hall.
