Its time to Deck the Halls and trim the tree for our annual Holiday Decorating Contest! If you or a neighbor kills it in decorating their home this holiday season let us know! The rules are as follows:
- All Clearfield residents are eligible to participate in the contest.
- Nominations will be accepted November 25 through December 8.
- Nominations may be submitted by neighbors, friends, or self via phone call, email, Clearfield City website and social media, or in person.
- If more than 10 nominations are received, commissioners will do preliminary judging December 9 through 15, starting at 5:00 p.m. each night. The top 10 will advance to final judging.
- Final judging will be during the regular commission meeting on December 18.
- Commission will meet at City Hall on December 18 at 5:00 p.m. and go together in city vehicles for judging.
- After judging, the commission will meet for dinner. Each commission member may invite one guest.
- Awards will be given in two categories – traditional and electronic.
- All judges’ scores will be combined and tallied. First place and two runners-up will be given awards in each category.
- First place receives a $100 gift card; two runners-up will each receive a $50 gift card.
- Winners will be notified by December 20
