Did your new year’s resolutions include getting more involved in your community? The Clearfield City Council is accepting applicants to fill vacancies on the Planning Commission and the Parks and Recreation Commission until Monday, January 14, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.

If you’d like to be actively involved in the community and play an important role in the development of Clearfield, the city is seeking residents who would like to serve on these commissions.

If interested please submit a letter of interest including your name, address, phone number and email address to Nancy Dean, City Recorder, 55 S. State Street, Clearfield, UT 84015.

Information on Planning Commission

The Clearfield City Planning Commission consists of seven regular members and up to three alternates who advise the City Council on land use decisions, development activities, planning policy matters and interpretations. The Commission makes recommendations to the Council on amendments to the Master Plan and re-zonings, as well as final action on items such as Conditional Use Permits and Site Plans.

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, 7pm, at the city building.

Information on Parks and Recreation Commission

The Clearfield City Planning Commission consists of 9 members and 1  alternate who recommend policies, standards, rules, programs, and activities for Clearfield Recreation programs. This commission also serves as an advisory board the the Mayor and City Council and act as a liaison to the community.

Meetings are held on the Third Wednesday of each month (except for July), 7pm, at City Hall.
