Excavation Permits
Clearfield City has the responsibility to provide and protect publicly dedicated “Right-Of-Way” like streets, sidewalks, and trails, which require careful maintenance and management. Excavation within these spaces requires a permit to properly protect the adjacent landowner, the contractor, the city, and the public.
To process a permit, you need to submit a surety or cash bond, construction plans, and a traffic control plan. Please call 801-525-2701 if you have any questions.
