City Council Meeting Schedule 2024
Pursuant to section 52-4-202 of the Utah Code, the City of Clearfield hereby gives notice that the Clearfield City Council will generally hold its regular City Council meetings for the 2024 calendar year on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. The regular meetings generally begin at 7:00 pm and are held in the Clearfield City Council Chambers located at 55 South State, 3rd Floor, Clearfield, Utah. Scheduled meetings may be cancelled when the need arises. In such instances at least 24-hour notice will be given regarding the cancellation.

Parks and Recreation Commission Annual Meeting Schedule 2024
Pursuant to section 52-4-202 of the Utah Code, the Clearfield Parks and Recreation Commission will generally hold its regular meetings for the 2024 calendar year on the third Wednesday of each month, except July. The regular meetings generally begin at 7:00 pm and are held in the Clearfield Community Services Department conference room at 55 South State, 1st Floor, Clearfield, Utah. Scheduled meetings may be cancelled when the need arises. In such instances at least 24-hour notice will be given regarding the cancellation.

Budgets & Financial Documents
City Budget
The annual budget allocates and controls the cities financial resources to achieve the City’s priorities and services. The final budget is usually adopted before June 22. The fiscal year is July 1 to June 30.
Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
Every year an independent auditor certifies that the city financial statements meet the requirements of GAAP and GASB, and Utah State. The ACFR from the previous year is usually not available until mid December.
Clearfield City Justice Court
Justice Courts are established by counties and municipalities and have the authority to deal with class B and C misdemeanors, violations of ordinances, small claims, and infractions committed within their territorial jurisdiction. Justice Court jurisdictions are determined by the boundaries of local government entities such as cities or counties.
The Clearfield Justice Court was established in 1994 to allow the city to adjudicate traffic, misdemeanor criminal, and small claims cases at the local level. The court is an independent body within the judicial branch of government. The court strives to treat all individuals courteously and with respect, and to apply the law in a fair and impartial manner.
Planning Commission
Clearfield City is seeking individuals to fill three vacancies on the city Planning Commission. Interested individuals may apply by completing the application no later than Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Please contact Nancy R. The Clearfield City Planning Commission’s role is to make recommendations to the Clearfield City Council concerning Master Plan, land use ordinance, and zoning map adoption and amendments. The Clearfield City Planning Commission has been designated as the “Land Use Authority” as defined in Utah State Code 10-9a-301. The Planning Commission makes decisions on applications filed under Clearfield City Code, Title 10 and Title 11.
The Clearfield City Planning Commission meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month, excluding holidays, at 7:00 p.m. at Clearfield City Hall, 55 South State Street, Council Chambers, Clearfield, UT 84015. Members receive a stipend for each meeting attended and a membership to the Clearfield Aquatic & Fitness Center.
Parks & Recreation Commission
The purpose of the Parks & Recreation Commission is to recommend policies, standards and rules, recommend programs and activities which are consistent with the needs of Clearfield residents, and serve in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and City Council and act as a liaison to the community.
Youth Commission
The Clearfield Youth Commission is an advisory board to the Mayor and City Council working with them on key issues that impact our youth. The mission of the youth commission is to encourage youth to develop leadership skills through active involvement with the Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, and by working closely with elected officials and city staff. Youth ages 14 (8th Grade) to 18 (12th Grade) help plan city events as well as work on service projects.
The commission meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 6 pm in the 1st-floor conference room at City Hall 55 S. State St. Clearfield UT 84015. To join the youth commission and for more information, please email clearfieldyouthcommission@gmail.com.
